Nashville, TN (April 29, 2010) ---- Portland Oregon’s modern rock band, Sixteen Cities, has garnered early support for their self-titled debut project on Centricity Music. The project, which released last Tuesday, is already striking a chord with media and radio.

Sixteen Cities recently completed a radio promotional tour throughout the Midwest and Southeast in support of their first single, “Sing Along.” They visited fifteen radio stations while on the road. According to Derek Gregory, Promotions/Music Tracking/Afternoon Air Personality, WCVK/Bowling Green, Kentucky, the band was a hit. “The guys made a great impression on our staff. Centricity Music knows talent and heart when you see it. The song is currently going for adds at radio.

Media has also become a strong supporter for the new band, with Sixteen Cities being the featured video on HearitFirst.com, Plugged In spotlighting the new single and reviews from NewReleaseTuesday.com,(Sixteen Cities music is fun & filled with catchy melodies, yet their lyrics are tempered by a maturity & spiritual self-awareness) Charisma’s “The Buzz,” (Sixteen Cities' music certainly attracts audiences, but it's their authenticity and lyrics that encourage listeners and give them life-changing hope) and JesusFreakHideout.com (…Sixteen Cities has shown its formidability as a strong player in the Christian market. With a full set list of powerful and relevant tracks, success should be imminent).

Sixteen Cities has been busy touring with a winter tour in Denmark, a Midwest tour this spring and a summer filled with several youth camp and solo dates. The band has also announced that they will be touring with Remedy Drive in September/October. To keep updated on the group’s tour dates, fans can visit Sixteen Cities new blog on Tumblr.com.

Sixteen Cities is comprised of Josiah Warneking (Lead Vocals/Piano), Joshua Miller (Rhythm Guitar), Dustin Erhardt (Lead Guitar), Chad McCutchen (Drummer) and Joel Warneking (Bass). The group started performing as a band in their early years of high school in their home state of Portland, Oregon. The group’s moniker was inspired by the tribe of Issachâr in Joshua 19, which also understood the current needs of its generation. The band’s modern rock sound and heartfelt messages began connecting with fans within the indie Northwest music scene. Sixteen Cities began garnering national recognition when a friend at a Christian bookstore started passing their CD around the industry and Centricity Music invited them to their indie artist retreat, which led to their label deal in 2008. Sixteen Cities remains an active touring band and has toured with such other acts as Kutless, Building 429, Fireflight and Sanctus Real.
